The All Progressives Congress (APC) has dismissed concerns over ongoing reconciliation efforts within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), insisting it remains focused on upcoming elections.
Speaking during a televised interview, APC National Publicity Secretary Felix Morka said the ruling party is not troubled by moves to resolve internal disputes within the opposition.
According to him, the APC has “no reason to be worried” about the PDP’s attempts to halt its lingering crisis.
“We’re not worried about efforts to reconcile within the PDP; we’re not concerned about that. Our concern is the election,” he said.

Morka emphasised that the party’s priority is firmly on the electoral process rather than developments within rival camps.
“Our concern is the election, not the PDP reconciliation,” he stated, adding that the APC is concentrating its energy on strengthening its structures ahead of the polls.
He also noted that preparations for the party’s forthcoming national convention are in full swing, with efforts underway to ensure all necessary arrangements are in place.
The convention, he said, remains a key focus as the party consolidates internally.
The PDP has in recent months intensified moves to resolve internal divisions and present a united front ahead of future elections, but the APC maintains that such efforts pose no immediate threat to its political strategy.
