The All Progressives Congress (APC) South-West Young Stakeholders Forum has appealed to President Bola Tinubu to consider a young candidates from the South West as substantive minister for youth development.
“In the wake of the recent ministerial portfolio reshuffle, which created a vacancy in the Ministry of Youth Development, the forum express its concerns regarding equitable representation for the South-West region,” the group said in a statement.
It forwarded a list of 10 names from which it urged Tinubu to pick to fill the vacancy. The suggested names include Makinde Araoye, Seun Olufemi-White, Ayodele Olawande from Ekiti-Ondo axis; Bolaji Afeez Repete, Prince Oyekunle Oyewumi, Titilope Ayoka Gbadamosi, and Ademola Adeyeye from Oyo-Osun axis and, Abdullahi Dayo Israel; Bayo Adenekan; and Dr. Seriki Muritala, from Lagos-Ogun axis.
It said the shortlisted names were “meticulously drafted based on principles of equity and justice, ensuring fair representation for each state” and “was carefully curated through extensive consultations.”
The forum added that they had unwavering faith in the capacity of the individuals shortlisted, hailing them as “committed members of the APC who share a profound loyalty to the Renewed Hope agenda and the nation as a whole.
The forum reaffirmed loyalty to the Renewed Hope agenda, the APC, and the nation at large.
