Former Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Professor Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami, has disclosed that he facilitated over 215 federal projects and interventions in Gombe State during his tenure in office.

He stated this yesterday during a courtesy visit to the Gombe State Secretariat of the All Progressives Congress (APC), shortly before revalidating his membership of the party at Pantami Ward in Gombe Local Government Area (LGA) of the state.

He explained that the projects cut across critical sectors, including digital infrastructure, education, skills development and social interventions, and were strategically executed to deliver measurable impact and long-term value to communities across the state.

According to Pantami, his engagement with politics was guided by advice from former President Muhammadu Buhari, who had urged him to prioritise political stability in Gombe State to enable meaningful development under the APC-led administration.

“Buhari’s advice was to ensure political stability in the state and give room for meaningful development under APC. That was exactly what happened and I was officially commended in a letter by the State Executive Council at the end of my tenure as minister,” he said.

He further clarified his political pedigree within the ruling party, stressing that his association with the APC predates its electoral victories.

He said: “I did not just join the APC; I was a founding member of the party. Just as we have the police, soldiers, the Department of State Services, National Intelligence Agency and others, some in uniform and some not in uniform, that is how we have public politicians and those who work behind the scenes.”

He reaffirmed his loyalty to the APC, describing the party as a vehicle for stability, governance continuity and development delivery. He noted that his contributions, both visible and strategic, were driven by a commitment to service rather than political theatrics.

The revalidation exercise formed part of the APC’s ongoing membership update initiative in Gombe State. It was attended by party officials, ward leaders and supporters.
