The North-West zone of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has held its maiden meeting following the party’s recent zonal congress, vowing to deliver the highest number of votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other party candidates in the 2027 general elections.
The meeting, which took place on Thursday at the APC North-West Zonal Secretariat in Kaduna, was chaired by the party’s National Vice Chairman (North-West), Garba Datti Muhammad.
In a communiqué issued at the end of the meeting, the zonal leadership emphasised its commitment to maintaining the region’s long-standing record as a stronghold of electoral support for the APC since Nigeria’s return to democratic rule in 1999.
The zone resolved to strengthen collaboration with key stakeholders across its seven states to secure victory for all APC candidates in the 2027 elections. This includes President Tinubu, governors from the region, and members of the National and State Assemblies.

As part of its strategy, the zonal executive adopted what it described as a “campaign of facts” approach to promote the administration’s “Renewed Hope Agenda”.
The initiative, according to the party, will focus on showcasing tangible achievements in infrastructure, education, healthcare, and security, as well as developmental efforts driven by the North West Development Commission.
The APC also reiterated its commitment to sustaining unity within the party, pledging to address any internal disagreements that may arise in the lead-up to the elections. It further assured that mechanisms were in place to counter misinformation and opposition narratives aimed at undermining the party.
Those in attendance included newly elected and returning zonal executive members such as Isah Sadiq Achida (Zonal Secretary), Bashir Usaini Dutse (Zonal Legal Adviser), Salisu Uba Tsafe (Zonal Organising Secretary), Abdulhamid Umar Ahmed (Zonal Youth Leader), Hadiza Alhaji (Zonal Women Leader), Dahiru Gambo Rafin Dadi (Leader of Persons Living with Disabilities), and Musa Mailafiya Mada (Zonal Publicity Secretary).
The meeting followed the APC North-West Zonal Congress held in Kaduna on March 25.
