Leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in three local government areas of Osun State have demanded that the 2027 National and State Assembly tickets be ceded to youths in the party within the Ila Federal Constituency.
The leaders, made up of youths and other APC stakeholders, stated this during a strategy meeting held in the constituency yesterday, ahead of the ongoing house-to-house campaign for the Osun governorship election and the 2027 polls.
Speaking after the meeting, Hon. Azeez Kazeem, APC youth leader in Ifedayo Local Government, said they are confident that the APC governorship candidate, Asiwaju Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO), will win the governorship election in Osun. He also expressed confidence that President Bola Tinubu will secure re-election.

Kazeem urged state and national APC leaders to support a “political son” of Chief Bisi Akande, Adeniyi Ismail Oluwatosin (AIO), for the House of Representatives seat for the area. He also called for more assembly tickets to be given to youths to strengthen the party’s grassroots mobilisation.
He said the party’s door-to-door engagement is largely with young people, adding that their request is for youth leadership that understands their challenges.
A student leader in the APC, Comrade Ayomide Alabi, vowed to resist electoral fraud, stating that Adeniyi Oluwatosin is the best option for the party due to his popularity across all segments of society.
Responding, Adeniyi Oluwatosin said he would not relent until the APC unseats the incumbent governor, Ademola Adeleke, at the election on August 15, warning that vote-buying or “haphazard projects” in the constituency would not save the administration from defeat.
