African Democratic Congress (ADC) chieftain, Dele Momodu has claimed that the Federal Government would not permit a free and fair election in Osun State on Saturday, August 15.
Momodu, an ally of Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun, stated this in an X post directed to the governor.
Adeleke, who is seeking re-election, is the candidate of the Accord Party.
According to Momodu, the All Progressives Congress intends to use the Osun governorship election as dress rehearsal for the 2027 general election.
He alleged that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is under the “complete control” or President Bola Tinubu of APC and could not be trusted to conduct a free and fair poll.
The Ovation publisher advised the Osun governor to prepare for any eventuality.
