The All Progressives Congress (APC) on Thursday introduced a new dimension to political campaigning in Osun State with the deployment of an automated mobile stage for its mega rally in Osogbo, the state capital.
The technology-driven platform, provided by campaign management firm Monan Innovation, was deployed ahead of Saturday’s governorship election and quickly became one of the major talking points at the rally.
The long trailer was transformed into a fully functional campaign stage, providing a mobile platform for speeches, presentations and other campaign activities.
Unlike conventional campaign stages that are erected at rally grounds, the automated mobile stage can be transported from one location to another and converted into a complete platform for political events.
The innovation drew the attention of APC supporters and residents, demonstrating how technology can be deployed to improve the planning, mobility and efficiency of political campaigns.
The Osogbo rally was attended by Senate President Godswill Akpabio, governors, former governors, national and state party leaders and thousands of APC supporters who gathered to drum up support for the party’s governorship candidate, Bola Oyebamiji.
The mobile stage formed part of the visual and technological infrastructure deployed for the event, reinforcing the APC’s effort to present a modern and innovative campaign platform in the final hours of electioneering.
Monan Innovation’s Chief Executive Officer, Mrs Moji Yakubu, said the company’s approach was centred on understanding voters and using data and technology to support more informed campaign decisions.
“Our approach is centred on understanding the mindset of the electorate and helping campaign teams make informed, data-driven decisions,” Yakubu said.
The company’s involvement in the Osun election builds on its campaign management experience, particularly its work during the Ekiti governorship election.
During the Ekiti campaign, the firm deployed campaign intelligence, voter research, field mobilisation, logistics and technology-driven communication as part of its campaign structure.
One of its innovations in Ekiti was the deployment of mobile campaign stage trucks fitted with large LED screens. The units could be moved from one community to another and converted into functional campaign stages, allowing campaign activities to be conducted with greater mobility and flexibility.
The company said its growing operations reflected the increasing intersection of political strategy, technology, campaign logistics, voter engagement and event production as political parties seek more professional approaches to electioneering.
The Osun assignment provided another demonstration of that strategy, with the automated mobile stage bringing technology to the centre of the APC’s final major campaign event ahead of the governorship election.
Beyond its visual appeal, the mobile platform demonstrated the potential for campaign infrastructure to become more adaptable and efficient, particularly during intensive electioneering periods when political parties conduct activities across multiple locations.
For Monan Innovation, the Osun assignment adds another high-profile event to its growing campaign portfolio and reinforces its ambition to establish itself as a leading Nigerian campaign management firm.
