The Federal Government has directed civil servants working within the Federal Secretariat in Abuja to operate remotely on Friday, March 27, 2026, ahead of the national convention of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The directive was conveyed in an official circular issued on behalf of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Didi Walson-Jack, and signed by Abdul Garba, Permanent Secretary, Service Welfare Office.
According to the circular, all access roads leading to and around the Federal Secretariat Complex, covering Phases I, II and III, will be closed from Friday, March 27, through Saturday, March 28, due to activities linked to the APC convention.
The government explained that the restrictions became necessary as Eagle Square, the venue for the convention, lies within the affected vicinity, necessitating traffic control and enhanced security arrangements.
