Benue State Governor, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia has congratulated the leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the country, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for guiding the party to a very successful National Convention.
The Governor, in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary Tersoo Kula, expressed optimism that given the overwhelming cooperation exhibited by all party faithful for a seamless process of electing party structures at all levels, the party will continue to record huge success and perpetually grow from strength to strength.
Alia said, “I heartily congratulate the leader of our great party and President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for providing the visionary leadership that ensured the successful planning and seamless execution of the National Convention of the APC held on March 27, 2026.
“The amicable ratification of all proceedings leading to the convention, from the ward, local government, state, and zonal congresses, accentuate the strength, unity, and internal democracy of our great party.
“This achievement is an expression of conviction to purposeful leadership and a shared commitment to progress.”
The Governor also congratulated the national chairman of the party, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, and all other affirmed party officials across the various levels, on their emergence as substantive leaders of the party.

He charged them to justify the confidence reposed in them by party members, urging them to be accountable and remain steadfast in upholding the integrity, discipline, and sanctity of their offices, while working diligently to strengthen party cohesion and advance the ideals of the APC.
Alia who acknowledged that the expectations of Nigerians and party faithful are high said “I am confident that under your collective leadership, the party will continue to grow stronger and deliver on its mandate.”
Meanwhile, Governor Alia, has expressed appreciation to the entire Benue family of the APC for their “unwavering cooperation, steadfastness, and exemplary conduct throughout the processes leading to, and during, the just-concluded National Convention held in Abuja
He said, “Your discipline, unity, and dedication from the ward, local government, state, and zonal congresses to the national convention no doubt have once again depicted clearly that Benue APC is undoubtedly a model of bonding and political maturity.
“This notable collective effort has significantly contributed to the success recorded at all levels of the party’s democratic exercise.”
The Governor particularly congratulated the State Chairman, Mr. Benjamin Omale, and his affirmed and ratified State Working Committee members on their emergence as substantive leaders of the party in the state, charging them to work tirelessly to strengthen party unity and advance the ideals of the APC across Benue State.
Governor Alia urged them to consistently uphold the sanctity, integrity, and discipline of their offices, expressing his unwavering support for the party and its leadership at all levels.
