Anthony Joshua secured a stunning knockout victory over Francis Ngannou in their highly-anticipated clash in Saudi Arabia.
After months of build-up, the two heavyweights finally met inside the squared circle on Friday night at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
For Ngannou, a former UFC champion, this was just the second time he would be stepping foot inside the boxing ring following his narrow and controversial defeat to Tyson Fury via split decision in October, 2023.
Meanwhile, Joshua, who weighed 20lbs lighter than his Cameroonian counterpart, had promised to bring ‘relentlessness’ to the bout in the Middle East.
And the British/Nigerian star certainly started with those intentions as he sent the former UFC champion crashing to the canvas in the first round of the bout, with a straight-right that caught Ngannou off guard.
Then, in the second round, ‘AJ’ then produced a stunning knockout that crumpled the Cameroonian.
