Association of Nigerian Physicians in America (ANPA) will converge on Lagos as the state hosts the 2025 ANPA Week from Friday, April 4 through Wednesday, April 9.
ANPA will bring together healthcare professionals, policymakers, and advocates to tackle key issues in Nigeria’s healthcare system.
With the theme “Transforming Healthcare: Empowering Physicians, Strengthening Systems,” the event is set to focus on enhancing healthcare delivery in Nigeria and across Africa. It will feature a variety of activities, including workshops, seminars, and interactive discussions aimed at improving the quality of care and addressing challenges in the healthcare sector.
ANPA Week 2025 will also provide a platform for Nigerian and Diaspora physicians, healthcare workers, and other stakeholders to collaborate on advancing healthcare initiatives. A major highlight will be training on life-saving techniques, such as managing severe trauma bleeding, CPR, first aid, and chronic kidney disease (CKD) prevention and management.
Dr. Clifford Chimaobi Eke, President of ANPA, emphasised that the event would offer essential skill-building sessions to help healthcare professionals manage emergency situations and improve patient outcomes. The training on CKD will also address its rising prevalence in Nigeria.
“The programme is designed to equip healthcare workers with the necessary tools to handle life-threatening situations and strengthen their ability to provide effective care,” Dr. Eke stated.
“ANPA Week 2025 will foster actionable solutions for improving Nigeria’s healthcare system, enhancing capacity, and advocating for crucial reforms.”
In the same vein, ANPA Week 2025 will serve as a vital meeting point for Nigerian physicians and healthcare professionals to collaborate, learn, and share innovative solutions for the country’s healthcare challenges.
