The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate for Abia State, Dr Kelechi Anosike, has called on party members who lost in the recently concluded primaries to put aside their grievances and support candidates who emerged victorious in the interest of the party’s success in the 2027 general elections.
Anosike made the appeal during a visit to the National Chairman of the PDP, Alhaji Mohammed Abdulrahman, at the party’s national secretariat, Wadata Plaza, Abuja.
He stressed the need for unity and reconciliation within the party, noting that collective effort and co-operation among members would be crucial to the PDP’s chances of reclaiming power in 2027.
According to him, aspirants who were unsuccessful in the primaries should accept the outcome of the exercise and embrace the olive branch extended by the party leadership.

“I urge those who did not emerge victorious in the primaries to accept the olive branch being extended to them and work together with the successful candidates to ensure victory for the party at the 2027 polls,” he said.
Anosike also commended the National Working Committee (NWC) for conducting what he described as peaceful and rancour-free primaries across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
The PDP governorship candidate further congratulated the Alhaji Mohammed Abdulrahman-led NWC over the recent Court of Appeal ruling on the appeal filed by the Taminu Turaki group, describing the judgment as timely and decisive.
He expressed confidence that the court’s decision would strengthen the party and help consolidate internal cohesion ahead of the next general election.
