The Authentic Nigeria Football and Allied Sports Supporters Club (ANFASSC) has intensified plans to mobilise massive support for the Super Eagles ahead of their upcoming international friendlies against Poland and Portugal later this month.
Fresh from playing a key role in Nigeria’s successful campaign at the 2026 Unity Cup in London, the supporters’ body says it is already shifting attention to the next assignments on the Super Eagles’ calendar as preparations continue for future competitive engagements.
Led by National President Prince Abayomi Ogunjimi, ANFASSC was a prominent presence during Nigeria’s triumphant Unity Cup campaign, where the Super Eagles defeated Jamaica 3-0 in the final to claim a historic fourth title in the competition.
With friendlies against Poland in Warsaw and Portugal in Leiria scheduled for June 10, ANFASSC has pledged to once again provide the passionate backing that has become synonymous with the organisation’s support for Nigerian teams around the world.
According to Ogunjimi, the momentum generated by the Unity Cup triumph must be sustained as the Super Eagles continue their rebuilding process under the national team coaching crew.”
The support we witnessed in London demonstrated what can happen when Nigerians unite behind their team,” Ogunjimi said.

“Our focus now is on Poland and Portugal. We are mobilising our members and supporters across Europe to ensure the Super Eagles enjoy a strong Nigerian presence in both matches.”
He noted that ANFASSC remains committed to serving as the team’s “12th man,” providing encouragement and motivation for the players regardless of where they compete.
The ANFASSC president also called on Nigerians living in Poland, Portugal and neighbouring countries to come out in large numbers and support the national team as preparations continue for future Africa Cup of Nations and World Cup qualification campaigns.
Beyond football, Ogunjimi reiterated the organisation’s commitment to supporting Nigerian athletes across various sports, including athletics, basketball, boxing, wrestling and para-sports.
ANFASSC has built a reputation as one of Africa’s most organised supporters’ groups, regularly accompanying Nigerian national teams and athletes to major international competitions.
Following the successful outing at the Unity Cup, the organisation believes sustained fan support will play an important role in helping the Super Eagles build confidence and momentum ahead of future challenges on the international stage.
