The Authentic Nigeria Football & Allied Sports Supporters Club (ANFASSC) arrived in Morocco for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), reaffirming its commitment to supporting the Super Eagles of Nigeria throughout the tournament.

The delegation is led by the club’s National President, Prince Abayomi Ogunjimi, and comprises supporters, coordinators, organisers, and instrumentalists known among fans as the “drivers of vibes.” They are set to bring the traditional Nigerian fan culture—characterised by chants, drums, brass instruments, and songs—that has long accompanied the Super Eagles at major international competitions.

ANFASSC’s arrival follows its earlier pledge of unwavering support for the national team, despite reported institutional challenges in the build-up to the tournament. The club says its mission in Morocco goes beyond match attendance, focusing on providing emotional and psychological backing to the players through organised and passionate support.

Speaking to members upon arrival, Prince Ogunjimi said the supporters’ role is to stand with the team in every moment, adding that Nigerian fans have historically rallied around the Super Eagles with unity and pride, especially during periods of pressure.

The supporters club’s presence comes as the Super Eagles prepare for challenging group-stage fixtures in their quest for continental success. ANFASSC maintains that fan support remains a vital element in boosting team morale, regardless of the venue.

The club also expressed appreciation to Nigerians at home and in the diaspora for their encouragement, prayers, and continued belief in the team. ANFASSC reiterated its commitment to peaceful, organised, and positive support, while projecting Nigeria’s rich football culture throughout AFCON 2025.

As the tournament progresses, the supporters club has called on Nigerians to remain united behind the Super Eagles and to uphold the nation’s football legacy with pride and dignity.
