Anchoria has unveiled a range of investment opportunities for individuals and businesses in Nigeria and overseas as it hosted its maiden investor forum, aimed at equipping investors with insights into navigating a changing economic landscape.
The event, tagged, “The Quorum: Anchoria Investor Forum,” and themed, “Positioning for Growth: Investment Opportunities in a Changing Market,” brought together investors, business leaders, policymakers and stakeholders in the finance sector in Lagos.
Speaking at the forum, Group Managing Director of Anchoria, Sam Chidoka, said the initiative was created to provide practical and informed conversations on investment and wealth creation.
According to him, the company offers portfolio management and advisory services designed to help investors determine when, where and how to invest for sustainable returns.
“Anchoria trades securities on both the Nigerian Exchange (NGX) and the NASD market, noting that its brokerage business currently ranks among the top 15 by value and volume on the NGX and among the top three on NASD,” he said.
He expressed confidence that the firm would achieve its target of becoming one of the top 10 brokers on the NGX and the number one operator on NASD before the end of the year.
He also highlighted the firm’s investment banking services, including capital raising, mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt issuance and advisory services for corporate organisations seeking expansion.
“Anchoria ranks among the country’s leading firms in commercial paper and equity issuances. The company has helped several insurance firms meet recapitalisation requirements by raising billions of Naira in funding,” he disclosed.
Managing Director of Anchoria, Esther Ugwu, said successful investing is driven by informed decisions, discipline and the ability to anticipate changes in the market rather than reacting to them.
She explained that the investor forum was conceived to help participants better understand evolving economic realities, including interest rate movements, inflation, exchange rate fluctuations, technological innovation, regulatory changes and global capital flows, all of which continue to shape investment decisions and long-term wealth creation.
The forum featured a panel of experts drawn from the fields of policy, finance, business and investment strategy. The keynote address was delivered by an economist, Dr. Doyin Salami, who provided participants with insights into the implications of current economic trends for businesses, households and investors.
