Okolie’s inspiring journey began in Sokoto State, the seat of the historic caliphate, where he was born and spent his formative years. His educational foundation was laid at Dede Nursery and Primary School before he proceeded to Turaki Model Primary School, Sokoto, where he completed his primary education.
He later attended the prestigious Sultan Bello Secondary School, Sokoto, between 1997 and 2003. The experience exposed him to diverse cultures and perspectives while nurturing his passion for leadership, communication and learning.
Following his secondary education, he relocated to his ancestral home in Anambra State to continue pursuing his academic aspirations.
Like many successful individuals, Okolie’s path was not without challenges. His lifelong ambition was to study Law, but repeated attempts to secure the required credit pass in Literature-in-English prevented him from realizing that dream. Rather than allowing disappointment to define his future, he embraced a different path that would ultimately become his life’s calling.
In 2005, he gained admission into the then Anambra State University (ANSU) to study Mass Communication. The decision marked a turning point that would shape his professional identity and open doors to opportunities in journalism and media practice. He successfully completed his degree in 2009, equipping himself with the academic knowledge and practical skills that would later distinguish his career.
Following graduation, Okolie undertook the mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme in 2010 with THISDAY Newspapers.
