Leadership of National Association of Nigerian Students Joint Campus Council (NANS JCC), Anambra State Chapter, has reiterated its commitment to ensuring the re-election bid of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027 and that of Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo in the November 8, 2025 respectively.
The immediate past Chairman of the Association in the state, Comrade Okoye Matthew Okpara, disclosed the students support for Tinubu and Soludo’s second term reelection during his official hand over to a new leadership/signing out ceremony held simultaneously at SUG conference hall, Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka and Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Igbariam yesterday.
Okpara, said their unanimous support for the two political leaders is to enable them complete the implementation of their vision for the good people of Anambra and the country at large.
His words: “We are throwing our weight behind President Tinubu and governor Soludo’s reelection bid because, the political parties, the All Progressive Congress APC and the All Progressive Grand Alliance APGA which the duo are contesting under are both progressive movement that have come to take Nigeria to the next level.

“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s achievements in two years, especially, the launching of the digital Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), that have removed the financial barrier to higher education for Nigerian students is enough evidence for every Nigerian student to vote for him in the 2027 Presidential election.
“For governor Soludo, we will ensure that no other political party contesting with him wins in the November 8, gubernatorial election in the State. We want the governor to actualise his vision of making Anambra a clean, green, livable and prosperous state in Nigeria. His achievements in three and half years in all sectors of the state economic, especially, the “One Youth Two Skills” empowerment programme, recruitment of over 8,000 teachers, his continued support for students welfare and the ongoing road construction across the 179 communities that constitute the state is also clear evidence for every Anambra voters-card carrier to vote him back to enable him complete his eight years in office.
“We, the 50,000 mobilized students across tertiary institutions in the state are assuring the governor of 100/100 victory come November 8 poll.”
Okpara while congratulating his successor, Comrade Ifeanyichukwu Chukwuemeka, on the new leadership, urged him to sustain the already existing peace, unity and togetherness among students in the state.
He also used the event to appeal to Nigerian students to embrace Jesus Christ and shun cultism and other disturbing vices that may ruin their future and the future of the country as a whole.
The newly elected NANS JCC Chairman, in his brief inaugural speech, promised to work with the government and all security agencies to ensure a better and safer school environment in Anambra State.
