The First Lady of Anambra State, Dr. Mrs. Nonye Soludo, has expressed her joy and gratitude over the full recovery of 10-year-old Chiziterem Franklin Ozuligbo, who was abused and severely maltreated by his guardians.
The governor’s wife expressed her delight as the 10-year-old boy was discharged from a hospital in Awada, Obosi, Idemili North Local Government Area, following his full recovery from the injuries he sustained as a result of the brutal abuse.
Chiziterem had been receiving medical care under the protection of the Anambra State Governor’s wife since June, after a viral video revealed the traumatic and horrific injuries and burns inflicted on him by his female guardian.
The disturbing video, which showed extensive injuries and burn marks all over the boy’s body, sparked widespread public outrage on social media and drew the attention of Dr. Mrs. Nonye Soludo, who immediately intervened and gave the child renewed hope.
The First Lady, who is also the founder of Healthy Living with Nonye Soludo, subsequently took custody of the young boy and pledged to take full responsibility for his rehabilitation, treatment, and recovery.
