Anambra election: I’m a winner – AAC candidate with 292 votes

Chioma-Ifemeludike

Chioma Ifemeludike, the African Action Congress (AAC) governorship candidate in the November 8 Anambra State governorship election, has declared herself a winner despite getting 292 votes.

Ifemeludike took to her X account on Sunday, stating that integrity stands higher than political deception.

The incumbent governor, Chukwuma Soludo was declared the winner of the poll, with 422,664 votes, and the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Nicholas Ukachukwu, came second with 99,445 votes, according to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

However, Ifemeludike sees the development as a win for her and she added that she is focused on safety measures serving the people.

“Integrity stands firm and higher than political deception. I’m a winner!

“Restructuring security is a priority.

“My focus is on ensuring that safety measures serve the people and not partisan interests,” she stated.

The AAC candidate gained recognition after sparking controversy for her unconventional outfit during her campaign.

She had promised to improve security in the state, adding that she would disband the Agunechemba security outfit if elected as governor.
