Candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance in Saturday’s election, Governor Charles Soludo of Anambra State, won his Polling Unit 002, Umuezeadigo Street, Isuofia, Aguata Local Government Area after the election.
Soludo polled a total of 417 votes, while his closest rival, the APC candidate, received four votes, and the Accord candidate secured just one vote.
Meanwhile, the Labour Party (LP) lost in the polling unit of its leader, Peter Obi, in yesterday’s Anambra governorship election.
In the result announced at about 3 p.m. at Polling Unit 019, Agulu Ward 11, Anaocha Local Government Area, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Nicholas Ukachukwu, polled 73 votes in the unit to defeat the Labour Party candidate, George Moghalu, who scored 57 votes.

The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) came third with 38 votes in the unit. Mr Obi, the LP presidential candidate in 2023, cast his ballot earlier in the day at the same polling unit.
Also, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in the 2025 Anambra State election, cast his vote at Polling Unit 12, Ward 2, Umudiala village in Osumenyi, Nnewi South Local Government Area.
He secured a total of 108 votes, defeating his closest rival, Professor Chukwuma Soludo of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), who garnered 4 votes.
From the results so far uploaded on the INEC Result Viewing Portal last night, Soludo was in an early lead, while the APC candidate, Ukachukwu was trailing the APGA candidate.
