Anambra: Agulu, Aguluzuigbo adopt Ekwunife for Senate, say Lawmaker’s performance excellent

Communities of Agulu, Aguluzuigbo in Anaocha Local Government Area of Anambra have resolved to back the candidature of Senator Uche Ekwunife of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the February 25th polls describing her reign at the 9th Assembly as impactful and fulfilling to their respective communities.

As declared by the community through its leaders Ekwunife has done very well for their people in the aspect of human capacity advancement and road infrastructures.

Ekwunife in furtherance of her ongoing election campaign during the week visited the palace of the Traditional Leader of Agulu, HRH Igwe Innocent Obodoako were the members of the cabinet and Chiefs warmly received and listened to the Lawmaker.

Speaking on behalf of his people assembled at his palace, Igwe expressed confidence in Sen Uche Ekwunife’s capabilities as someone he has known from childhood. The monarch made reference to some of Ekwunife’s exploits in the 9th Assembly some of which are; Facilitation of Government grants and pensionable employment , renovation of schools and roads for their constituents. According to him her return to the Senate will be in the overall interest of their community.

Igwe canvassed for her continuity at the Senate; “You have done well for us to deserve our votes , I wish you success ahead as you proceed with your campaign, we have seen what you have been able to do for us and we are happy. We pray that you will win so you can continue your good work.

Ekwunife proceeded to the Agulu Town Hall, where she interacted with the Executives of the Town Union who assured her of their total support. At Agulu square where she campaigned and canvassed for votes, after listing all her accomplishments the people where she received reelection commitments.

Speaking at both venues Ekwunife listed her impacts which include; Facilitation of Government employment, facilitation of SME grants, construction of three roads, renovation of Agulu Boys high school, supply of learning and teaching materials, sponsorship of a tertiary institution Bill to establish a University of Science, Technology and Innovation in Agulu , among others. The Lawmaker urged the people to vote for her , pledging to continue her good works.

At Aguluzuigbo on Wednesday visited the palace of the traditional ruler of Aguluzuigbo, HRH Eze Rufus Iloduba where she met with the Traditional Leader and his cabinet members.

Receiving the Senator, the Monarch described Ekwunife as a performing Lawmaker whose projects and achievements are visible, verifiable and impactful in the community.

Rufus urged his people to rally support for Ekwunife’s re-election; “I pray that God grants you victory, governance is all about working for the people through policies and provision of basic amenities and you have done well in that aspect. I and my people have decided to ensure you continue at the Senate”.

The President General of Aguluzuigbo represented by Hon. Chinedu Nkemuo extolled Ekwunife for her giant strides at the National Assembly and acknowledged that the Federal Lawmaker has done so much for the community. He assured the Senator that the community will support her with their votes.

From the Igwe’s Palace, Ekwunife proceeded to the Community Primary School field where she interacted with the people of Aguluzuigbo.
