Serving State Governors on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) are billed to storm Anambra to drum support and flag-off campaign for the party’s candidate in the forthcoming Anambra governorship election, Chief Jude Ezenwafor.
Ezenwafor, currently recovering from a recent attack by gunmen, is also set to announce members of his Campaign Council during the flag-off, totalling over 350 persons.
The PDP candidate who emerged unchallenged during the party primaries had gone to Abuja to package his campaign tours when some unknown gunmen laid ambush on his way and opened fire on him. He was rushed to a medical facility in Abuja and has since been responding to treatment.
Speaking in a phone interview, Ezenwafor said that he has been discharged from the medical facility adding that he has been in contact with the PDP Governors for the flag off of his campaign.

“We thank God for His mercies upon us all and I am okay now and good to go and I have been in contact with the Governors about my Campaign flag off and so far they are behind me”
Ezenwafor also countered claims that his party is no longer on the ground in the state adding that most people who his fellow candidates claimed to have dumped the party would be at the campaign rally.
“No that is not true because most of those people they are claiming to have dumped the PDP are still with us and they are pulling all stops ahead of the flag off”
“For the PDP Governor’s Forum, I am I contact with them and so far they are giving me great support ahead of the flag off” he said.
He expressed optimism of emerging victorious in the election.
