The African Diaspora Development Institute (ADDI) Washington DC, USA is set to honour a media professional and the Chief Executive Officer of CEOAFRICA, Cletus Ilobanafor, with the prestigious ARIKANA EXCELLENCE AWARD, conferred on Africans who have distinguished themselves and contributed meaningfully to the expansion of the socio-economic development of the African continent.
According to the Letter of Award received on July 16 and signed by Dr. Stella Jefferies DMV Chair, Damien Cook and Agrippa Ezozo, ADDI Vice President and Human Resources Global Director respectively, a copy made available to newsmen in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, on Wednesday, the Institute disclosed that it decided to honour the Enugu State-born media guru for his exceptional commitment and dedication and outstanding contributions to Pan African community over the years.
The ADDI further stated that the 2023 edition of award slated for September 29th at the Ballroom of the Howard University, Washington DC, would see other individuals who have shown exceptional commitment and lasting difference to inspire others as exemplary role models honoured.
The organizers added that the ceremony will include dinner, speeches from distinguished guests and create opportunities to network with fellow awardees.
Reacting to his selection for the award, Ilobanafor expressed his joy for the acknowledgement and recognition of his efforts and desire to bring Africa to the world, and the world to Africa.
He, however, thanked the Institute for the honour and dedicated the award to God and his committed team.
