Courtney Clenney, a former OnlyFans model, has been sentenced to six years in prison by a court in Florida, United States following the fatal stabbing of her Nigerian-American boyfriend in 2022.
Now 30, Clenney had been in detention since the death of 27-year-old Christian Tobechukwu “Toby” Obumseli in their Florida apartment on April 3, 2022.
NBC Miami reports that she was sentenced to six years, followed by five years of probation, for manslaughter with a deadly weapon.

She had accepted a plea deal that ensured her initial charge of second-degree murder was dropped by prosecutors.
The court also ordered the convict to undergo a mental health evaluation and treatment.
Clenney had been facing up to 30 years in prison if she had been convicted of the second-degree murder charge after the incident at their luxury condo in Miami’s Edgewater neighbourhood.
Under the plea agreement, she will receive credit for the nearly four years she has already spent in custody since her arrest in August 2022, leaving her with about two more years to serve before beginning her probation.
Prosecutors also vowed to vehemently oppose any attempt by Clenney to financially profit from Obumseli’s death.
Assistant State Attorney, Shawn Abuhoff said, “We do believe that nobody should benefit financially from murdering somebody.”
A representative of Obumseli’s family said the deceased was “loved deeply” and his death had left a void permanent void in their lives.
His mother also added that no sentence or plea could bring back her son.
