Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode has commended the management of Newhall International School in Chevron, Lekki, Lagos for constructing a state of the art mini-stadium; a development he likened to the State’s vision towards attaining sporting excellence.
He said this through his representative Mrs Adeola Aregbesola.
Regarded as a rarity, the Newhall stadium is an impressive four thousand seater stadium that boasts of an astro-turf pitch, technical room, a gymnasium and locker-rooms for both home and away teams.
Aregbesola, who represented the Lagos State Governor was left in awe after embarking on a tour of the facility, saying: This is good. It is really an impressive structure, I am deeply impressed with the management.
“We are encouraged by what we have seen here. This feat is totally in line with the Governor’s vision towards attaining excellence in sports infrastructure.
The management have done well to balance education with sports. It augurs well with the growth and development of our youth.”
