Lagos State Governor, Mr. Akinwumi Ambode, has approved the appointment of Mr. Idowu Ajanaku as his special adviser on Information and Strategy. The appointment was with immediate effect.
In a letter signed by the Head of Service, Mrs. Folasade Sidikatu Adesoye, Ajanaku’s appointment was in line with the governor’s vision to strengthen the information machinery in the state, with the aim of making it more people-oriented and effective, right to the grassroots.
Ajanaku, a multiple award-winning journalist and political strategist, until his elevation, was the senior special assistant to the governor on Media and Strategy. He is expected to use his wealth of experience to promote Ambode’s administration, having worked with Vanguard and the Guardian newspapers, spanning one and half decades.
