Governor Akimwunmi Ambode of Lagos State has chosen to adopt one Ogunsanya Adetoro Faud, said to be the Best Graduating Student of the Lagos State University (LASU).
Governor Ambode also promised to be responsible for Ogunsanya’s further education, while he made a personal donation of the sum of N5 million to him.
Recalling his ordeal in life, Ogunsanya claimed he once suffered cataract for three years which had made some people to believe that his educational pursuit was a tall dream.

This is a good gesture and demonstration of good leadership from our Governor. This is a clear departure from the common practice of rewarding obscenity vis-à-vis nudity, sexual adventures and other unwholesome engagements (in our society and some other parts of the world today) that add no value to humanity.
Clearly, this singular gesture of the Governor will propel other youths to be up and doing in their educational pursuits for the benefits of their lives and that of humanity generally.
Governor Ambode, bravo for this!
