Supremen Head of the Cherubim and Seraphim Unification Church of Nigeria and Overseas, His Most Eminence, Prophet Emmanuel Alogbo, has called on President Bola Tinubu to further strengthen the nation’s armed forces through the procurement of modern combat equipment to effectively address the growing challenge of insecurity.

Prophet Alogbo made the call while addressing journalists at The Saviour’s Ministries (C&S), Ikeja, Lagos, ahead of the 2026 Annual General Conference of the Unification Church scheduled to hold at the church’s International Headquarters, Seraphim Land, Km 40, Lagos–Ibadan Expressway, Maba, Ogun State.

He stressed that the current security situation requires urgent action, noting that Nigerians are increasingly living in fear and uncertainty within their own country.

“Insecurity remains a painful and pressing concern that continues to affect lives and undermine national cohesion,” Alogbo said.

The cleric, who also serves as Baba Aladura of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church, appealed to the Federal Government to secure the release of 151 members of the Movement Church who were kidnapped in Kaduna State and are still being held by their abductors.

Meanwhile, the much-anticipated Moses Orimolade University (MOU) is set to commence academic operations in September 2026.

This was disclosed on Monday by the founder of Love of Christ (C&S), Rev. Mother Esther Abimbola Ajayi, during a world press conference held to announce the forthcoming Annual General Conference of the Unification Church at Seraphim Land.

Rev. Mother Ajayi, who is the major financier of the university project, expressed confidence that the institution would be completed as scheduled despite earlier delays.

“Whatever has a beginning must surely have an end, no matter the delay,” she said.

“The hand of our Zerubbabel that started this project will complete it, for it is not by power nor by might, but by the Spirit of God. By September this year, we shall be praising God for the perfection of our university.”

The 2026 Annual General Conference of the Cherubim and Seraphim Unification Church, themed ‘An Unhidden City’, is scheduled to hold from Thursday, January 29 to Sunday, February 1, 2026.

On the significance of the conference, Prophet Alogbo said it would serve as a platform for reflection, renewal and recommitment to the church’s spiritual mandate.

According to him, the conference will also offer spiritual direction and practical guidance for both the Church and the nation.

“The programme will feature activities focused on spiritual growth, leadership development, youth engagement, nation-building and social responsibility. It will emphasise teachings on faith, righteousness, servant leadership, accountability and integrity.”
