In a bid to further deepen insurance and boost its acceptance, Almond Productions is set again to recognise insurance industry giants and czars with different categories of awards.
Speaking at a press brief in Lagos, the MD/CEO, Almond Productions Ltd, Ms. Faith Ughwode, told newsmen that the Almond Insurance Industry Awards is a platform that strives to project the insurance industry better in the society, hence the need for other insurance enthusiasts to find creative ways to take insurance business to enviable height.
Slated for November 3rd in Lagos, the 2023 awards would incorporate every arm and stakeholders in the entire insurance value chain.
Categories include: Life Insurance Company of the year; General Insurance Company of the year; Reinsurance Company of the year; Insurance Broking Company of the year; Loss Adjusting Company of the year; Micro/Takaful Insurance Company of the year.
Others are: Insurance CEO/Personality of the year; Reinsurance CEO/ Personality of the year; Insurance Broker of the year; Trade Association of the year; Insurance (Life) Achievers Award of the year and Insurance Brokers (Life) Achievers Award of the year.
“The Almond Insurance Industry Awards and Consumers’ Nite started in 2018, aimed at rewarding the “Can do Spirit” of the men and women who are doing great in the industry despite unprecedented challenges, yet they forge ahead to underwrite huge businesses by way of Gross Premium Income (GPI)”
Ughwode assured Almond assembled the finest professionals who have served in various fronts, as awards panel of judges, to ensure the integrity and transparency of the process.
“Nominations open on 31st July and close on 30th August. Voting commences in September through the 2nd week of October. Judges will do the needful and winners announced on the stated date” she assured.
The Judges include Dr. Jide Fadun, Risk Management and Insurance Specialist; Mrs. Funmi Omokhodion, Reinsurance Specialist; Mr. Obinna Chilekezie, Insurance Expert/Researcher, and Mr. Obashola Alo, Group Head- Financial Risk/Insurance Dangote Group.
