Former lecturer at the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), Kaduna, late Dr Ambrose Nnaemeka Aligwara will be buried on Friday, June 7, 2024. Aligwara died at the age of 66 after a protracted battle with a heart related disease.

He taught at the Government College, Owerri, Imo State, before he got an appointment with the NDA as a lecturer.

He got his first degree in International Relations from the Obafemi Awolowo University,Ile-Ife, Osun State. He later went to the University of Lagos for his Master’s degree in International Law and Diplomacy. He also got a doctorate degree in Defence and Strategic Studies from the NDA.

He had a stint in politics as a member of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), where he served as the State Legal Adviser of the party during the Ibrahim Babangida’s political transition era.

His burial arrangements as announced by his family will begin with a vigil mass at the Holy Family Catholic Church, Barnawa, Kaduna State, on Thursday June 6, 2024.  After the vigil mass, a Christian wake will continue at his compound.

On June 7, his body will leave the Mbano Joint Hospital Mortuary for his compound at Umuokoroibe Umunagbala Umunumo in Ehime Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State. At 11am on the same day, there will be a funeral mass at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, Umunumo Ibeafor, Ehime Mbano LGA, after which, interment would follow at his compound.

He is survived by widow, . Perpetua, two children, brothers, sisters and other relatives.
