Abdullahi Fodio University of Science and Technology, Aliero, (AFUSTA), has successfully got 100 percentage full accreditation for all eleven academic programmes presented before the National Universities Commission (NUC).
Public Relations Officer of the University, Mustapha Ango, who confirmed this in a statement made available to newsmen in Birnin Kebbi stated that’, the accreditation exercise was done by the Commission during the October/November 2025 accreditation exercise.
According to him, the landmark achievement was formally communicated to the University in April 2026 by the NUC, which confirmed that all programmes across seven faculties had attained full accreditation status for a period of five (5) years.

Ango said: “This development, thereby placing the institution among the top-performing universities in Nigeria,” he said.
According to him, the programmes that attained full accreditation include Agriculture, Automobile Technology Education, Biochemistry, Computer Science, Electrical and Electronic, Engineering, Electrical/Electronics, Technology Education ,Mechanical Engineering, Medicine and Surgery, Metalwork Technology Education, Quantity Surveying, and Zoology.
“This across-the-board success underscores AFUSTA’s unwavering commitment to academic excellence, quality assurance, and global best practices in higher education.
“At the core of this unprecedented transformation is the dynamic, visionary, and result-oriented leadership of the Vice-Chancellor, Engr. Prof. B. G. Danshehu, whose tenure of less than two years has already redefined the developmental trajectory of the University,” he stated.
