Akwa Ibom state governor pastor Umo Eno has dissolved commissioners and invited them to a dinner at the state banquet hall by 7pm on Friday.
Speaking during the Valedictory Exco meeting held at Government House, Uyo Eno regretted that the Commissioners were not sacked because of non performance adding that they had to end their season to pave way for beginning of another season in his administration.
“…for me, if you were to be changed based on non-performance, I think none of the Commissioners would go.
“All of you have delivered and that’s why the Arise Agenda has succeeded.
“But we must come to the end of a season, start another season and keep moving.”
The governor had said that the decision to dissolve the cabinet is equivalent to action of a football coach who make changes to make fresh steam in the team
“What we are doing is akin to a football match where a coach makes some changes in order to inject fresh steam into the team.
“The other players who are substituted are still relevant to the team and can still be used subsequently to still add value to government,” he said.
