Sevilla’s Director of Football, Antonio Cordón, has predicted that Akor Adams, the latest addition to the Super Eagles, will become one of the best strikers in Spain’s LaLiga.

Adams was signed by the previous Sporting Director, Víctor Orta, from Montpellier in Ligue 1 for approximately €5 million.

Since joining Sevilla, the Nigerian prodigy has scored three goals in three games, including a game-winning strike against Rayo Vallecano, all without having started any of the matches—two with Sevilla and one in the World Cup qualifiers for Nigeria.

His impressive performance in Nervión earned him an international call-up, where he made his debut for Nigeria and scored the winning goal against Lesotho in the 80th minute, assisted by Victor Osimhen. Antonio Cordón previously stated on the closing day of the last summer transfer window, “I always think Sevilla’s best signing will come, and that will be Akor Adams. He’ll become one of the best strikers in LaLiga.”
