In a significant step toward professionalizing grassroots football in Ekiti State, Afriskaut, a leading African football scouting and talent discovery platform, has successfully onboarded youth team representatives ahead of the fifth edition of the Prof Akin Oyebode Cup
The onboarding session, organized by Phoenix Athletics Sports Limited (the managing company of the competition), focused on data management and the effective use of Afriskaut’s platform. Representatives from various Local Football Councils (LFCs) participated in the training held in Ado-Ekiti.
Ussa Buggu, Chief Operating Officer of Afriskaut, led the session. He provided a detailed explanation of the platform’s processes, emphasizing its role as a vital tool for marketing players through comprehensive data and analysis. Buggu broke down practical steps for teams to maintain accurate and up-to-date player data, underscoring how proper documentation can open doors to scouts, clubs, agents, and academies across Africa and beyond.
