Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, has called for an inclusive participation of individuals, private organisations and non-governmental organisations in the provision of good healthcare services for the people in the country.
He made the call during the commissioning of a 50-bed Deborah Multi- Specialist Hospital and Diagnostics Centre, built by Prince Rotimi Ibidapo and wife, Mulikat in Oba Ile, Akure North Local Government Area of the state.
Akeredolu, who was represented by his deputy, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, commended the owners for putting together such a magnificent edifice and for investing their resources in the health sector of the state.
He said it was a thing of joy to see public spirited individuals investing in the critical sector and creating jobs for teeming youths.
“In putting together such a magnificent edifice and for investing their resources in the health sector of the state, I believe that, it is an expression of confidence and appreciation of our commitment and sacrifices for improving the health of our people in the State,” Aiyedatiwa said.
CEO of the hospital, Mulikat Ibidapo, who said the hospital started in 2016, described the project as a God approved initiative and a dream come through.
“Our desire and pride is that we now have what it takes to travel outside Nigeria for medical attention in Owode, Oba-Ile, at our beck and call. We are starting on good notes to make you all live healthy, live wealthy and live well at affordable treatment at the next door to your house. Uncertainty and health discomfort are distanced with the type of health facilities and health care we practice,” she disclosed.
Chairman, Prince Ibidapo admonished the general public to give the hospital necessary support, patronage and partnership to deliver qualitative and quality medical services in order for the people to live well, healthy and keep alive.
