In a move aimed at strengthening digital content production, storytelling and cross-platform media collaboration, Wale Ademokoya and Amb. Saheed Akanmu are set to commission the Waves Multimedia Studio Media Hub in Abuja on Friday, September 4, 2026.
The new media hub, located in Wuye, Abuja, is designed to serve as a professional space for podcasting, interviews, digital content production, storytelling and conversations around issues shaping society.
The commissioning, scheduled for 2 p.m., is expected to attract media professionals, entrepreneurs, creatives, public figures and stakeholders from various sectors.
Founded by Ademokoya and Akanmu, Waves Multimedia is conceived as an integrated media ecosystem that seeks to provide established personalities and emerging talents with opportunities to tell their stories, showcase their ideas and connect with wider audiences.
A major feature of the initiative is its integration of four media platforms — Just U Magazine/TV, Arewa Elites, Next Gen Patriots (NG) and The Progressive Intellects (TPi) — each designed to focus on distinct but complementary areas of public interest.
Just U Magazine/TV focuses on lifestyle, entertainment, business, personalities and social issues through magazine features, interviews and digital media content.
Arewa Elites, with the positioning, “The 1% of the 1%,” is focused on influential personalities, culture, leadership, business, lifestyle and notable achievements across Northern Nigeria.
Next Gen Patriots (NG), on the other hand, targets the younger generation, creating a platform for young leaders, entrepreneurs, professionals and changemakers to engage in conversations on leadership, innovation, national development and Nigeria’s future.
The Progressive Intellects (TPi) is positioned as a platform for intellectual engagement and discussions on leadership, civic participation, governance, development and societal issues.

The founders said the integration of the platforms was intended to promote collaboration and create a broader media ecosystem capable of connecting different audiences, ideas and sectors.
According to the initiative, the platforms will collectively bring together media, culture, leadership, business and social impact while promoting creative storytelling and meaningful public conversations.
A major highlight of the commissioning will be the official unveiling of the facility by Dr. Adedayo Benjamins-Laniyi, DG/CEO of the Maryam Babangida National Centre for Women Development, and Dr. Olusola Odumosu, PhD, FCT Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).
The commissioning is expected to mark a new phase in the development of Waves Multimedia, with the founders seeking to establish the hub as a destination for quality content creation, professional media production and conversations capable of influencing society positively.
Beyond providing production facilities, the platform is expected to serve as a meeting point for established voices and emerging talents, giving creators, professionals and thought leaders an avenue to collaborate and reach audiences through multiple media channels.
The initiative also reflects the growing importance of multimedia platforms in shaping public conversations, particularly as podcasts, digital interviews, online television and other forms of new-media storytelling continue to expand their reach.
With its four-platform structure, Waves Multimedia is positioning itself not merely as a studio, but as a broader media ecosystem where different interests and generations can converge around storytelling, leadership, enterprise, culture and national development.
The September 4 commissioning will therefore formally open the Abuja-based hub to media professionals, creatives, entrepreneurs and other stakeholders as the founders begin a new chapter in their effort to build a dynamic platform for storytelling and impactful conversations.
