Popular Nigerian comedian and storyteller, Emeka Erem, widely known as Ajebo, has announced the return of his flagship comedy and entertainment show, Ajebo Unleashed, for its 13th edition.
The event, themed “Love and Laughs,” is scheduled to hold on June 28, 2026, at the Eko Hotel & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, beginning at 6:00 p.m.
Organised by House of Ajebo and powered by Vitel Wireless and Landmark Corporate Realty Limited, this year’s edition promises an evening of premium entertainment, humour, and relatable storytelling centred on the realities of love and relationships.
Speaking on the inspiration behind the theme, Ajebo said the concept was driven by the universal nature of love and the experiences that come with it.
According to him, everyone has a unique love story, whether marked by happiness, heartbreak, disappointment, or triumph, making love one of the few experiences that cuts across cultures, backgrounds, and generations.
“Love is one of the few things that every human being can relate to. We’ve all experienced the excitement, the confusion, the disappointment, the hope and sometimes the madness that comes with it. Many of the experiences we cry about today eventually become the stories we laugh about tomorrow. That’s the heart of ‘Love and Laughs,” he said.
Ajebo added that the show holds special significance for him, as he will be sharing some of his personal experiences, observations, and encounters in a way that allows audiences to see reflections of their own journeys.
“This show is personal. I’ll be sharing some of my own experiences, observations and encounters, but in a way that allows people to see themselves through my lens. At the end of the day, love connects us, and laughter heals us. When you combine both, you create an experience that everyone can identify with,” he added.
Since its inception, Ajebo Unleashed has established itself as one of Nigeria’s leading comedy events, combining humour with authentic storytelling to create memorable and relatable experiences for audiences.
The event will feature performances and guest appearances from top comedians and entertainers, including Kenny Blaq, Chuks D General, Josh2Funny, Abarie, and Edo Pikin, among others.
