Former Social Democratic Party ( SDP) Kogi State gubernatorial candidate, Murtala Ajaka, has expressed deep sorrow over the death of erstwhile governor of the state, Ibrahim Idris.

Head of Media & Public Communications, on Monday, stated that the demise of the former governor was a big loss to his family and Kogi State at large, noting that late Idris occupied a significant place in political history of the state.
The former gubernatorial candidate stated that late Idris would be remembered for his years of public service and his role as an elder statesman who contributed to the political and developmental journey of the state.
According to him, “this is a painful loss, not only to his immediate family but to the people of Kogi State and everyone whose life he touched during his years of public service.
“His Excellency, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris, served our state at the highest level and remained an important figure in the political history of Kogi State. His passing marks the end of a significant chapter in our state. ”
Ajaka, while condoling with his immediate family, the people of Omala Local Government Area, the Igala Kingdom and the entire people of Kogi State, prayed God to give them the strength to bear the loss.
