The Allied Peoples Movement (APM) 2027 candidate for Oyo Central Senatorial District, Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo, has advocated the entrenchment of strong political institutions in order to ensure effective political growth and stability in the country.
He made this known in a statement made available to journalists, yesterday, on the occasion of this year’s Democracy Day.
Ajadi explained that the entrenchment of strong political institutions would aid the growth and development of democracy in Nigeria. He added that despite the fact that Nigeria has enjoyed uninterrupted democratic rule for 27 years, many Nigerians are still suffering through economic hardship, and unstable power supply among others

He urged the political class to embrace democratic tendencies, saying a true democracy should allow people to choose their representatives without hindrance.
Ajadi, who is also a known philanthropist and business mogul, stated that Nigerians should continue to pray for the growth of the nation’s democracy, saying the freedom under democracy makes it better than military autocracy.
Ajadi described June 12 as a significant date in Nigeria’s political history, and noted that the day serves as a reminder of the sacrifices made by pro-democracy activists and patriots, particularly the late Chief MKO Abiola, who fought for the restoration and sustenance of democratic governance in the country on June 12, 1993.
