Air Force institute, 13 others enlisted in TETFund largesse

The Board of Trustees of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) has given approval for 14 new public tertiary institutions to be enlisted as beneficiaries of different interventions of TETFund.

The new institutions apparently met several criteria listed by the Fund for enlistment as beneficiaries of the interventions.

The enlistment brougt the total number of beneficiaries of TETFund interventions to 216.

TETFund spokesman, Benn Ebikwo, in a statement released, in Abuja, indicated that the new institutions would begin to benefit from the Fund’s interventions with effect from 2019.

It also indicated that its Executive Secretary, Dr. Abdullahi Bichi Baffa, communicated the news to heads of the institutions at a parley, in Abuja.

He listed the institutions to include; First Technical University, Ibadan; College of Education, Lanlate; Oke-Ogun Polytechnic, Saki, Oyo State; University of Medical Sciences, Ondo; Gombe State College of Education, Billiri; Ibarapa Polytechnic, Eruwa, Oyo State and Ogun State Institute of Technology, Igbesa.

Others are Gateway Polytechnic, Saapade; Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT), Kaduna State College of Education, Kangere; Bilyamunu Usman Polytechnic, Hadejia; Federal Polytechnic, Ukana; Federal Polytechnic, Ile-Oluji and Enugu State Polytechnic, Iwollo.

He advised the institutions to strictly adhere to the operational guidelines of TETFund and also ensure transparency in implementations of the various intervention lines.

Vice Chancellor, First Technical University, Ibadan, Prof. Ayobami Salami, who spoke on behalf of the institutions, thanked TETFund Board of Trustees and management for finding the beneficiaries worthy of enlistment, while promising to be worthy partners in their relationships with the Fund.
