The Emir of Daura, Alhaji Umar Faruk Umar, has conferred the traditional title of Wakilin Dokar Kasar Hausa, on an Assistant Inspector-General (AIG) of Police in charge of zone 14, Ahmed Abdulrahaman.
Zone 14 of the Nigeria Police comprises, Katsina and Kaduna states.
This is contained in a message delivered to the AIG by a two- man delegation from the Emir, led by the Fagacin Daura.
In his remarks, the AIG, thanked the Emir for finding him worthy of the traditional title.
He noted that his long standing relationship with the emirate dates back to past years when he was a DSP and then Chief Security Officer to the late Inspector-General of Police, IGP Ibrahim Amadu Coomasie.
He said that he would forward the letter of nomination to the Inspector-General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba, for approval.
