The National Chairman of African Democratic Congress (ADC), Chief Okey Nwosu, has said that leadership is needed to drive technological advancement, especially with the advent of Artificial Intelligence ( AI).
Nwosu stated this, while speaking at a summit on AI Orchestration, The Conductor Approach, organised by The Next Big Thing Continental (TNBTC), in conjunction with Cosmopolitan University Collaborative Centre for Artificial Intelligence, yesterday, in Abuja.
The ADC leader lauded the technological advancement in the banking sector, stating there was need for it to permeate politics, as it will help to entrench transparency in governance.
Nwosu, who is also the President of, a non governmental group, championing transformative and strategic leadership in the African continent, noted that the country will make progress, if it there are more people, who are creative thinkers, innovators and thought leaders across the cities and constituents in the country.
He recalled that Morocco “came up with a visionary leadership that is providing the electric power that has more or less revolutionised the country.
“The Ghana Cyber Security Agency started a system that has revolutionised security in Ghana. We want to see that take place everywhere.
“If (our) government can invest in that, and other African countries, the young people will grow. “
The ADC leader appealed to the government not to stifle entrepreneurs and business people in the country, but rather provide an enabling environment for them to thrive.
“What I appeal for, for the purpose of businessmen and entrepreneurs, is that the government should stay out of their way. Government should stay out of their way, and as much as possible, work on building policies and creating infrastructures,” he stated.
