Ageless Utaka fires Japanese club to victory again

Peter Utaka has again propelled his J1 League side Kyoto Sanga FC to a 2-1 win over Consadole Sapporo.

The former OB Odense hitman, 38, scored his ninth goal of the season in the ninth minute to give his side a 1-0 lead Saturday.

Kyoto Sanga are ninth on the table, while Utaka is now just a goal behind the league’s leading scorer half way through the season.

Last season, the former Nigeria international scored 21 goals in 40 games to lift his club to the top league.
