Urges commitment to service delivery
The Executive Chairman of Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA, Hon. Lukmon Agbaje Lukmon, has sworn in newly appointed Supervisory Councillors and Special Advisers, charging them to deliver effectively on their mandates in service to the people.
Chief Press Secretary to the Executive Chairman, Comrade Mayowa Amuwa disclosed this in a statement sent to SunOnline on Wednesday.
The swearing-in ceremony, held at the Council Secretariat, was attended by key stakeholders including the Secretary to the Local Government (SLG), Hon. Ahmad Adeyinka Yusuff, the Council Manager, Mrs. Bankole Bawa, the APC Chairman in Ayobo-Ipaja, Hon. Wole Aina, alongside other party leaders, community representatives, and traditional rulers.
The Council Chairman, congratulated the newly inaugurated officials and emphasised the importance of dedication, innovation, and measurable impact in governance.
He encouraged them to explore practical solutions to community challenges and remain proactive in service.
“The people are looking up to us to deliver, and we must not fail them,” he stated.
The chairman further underscored the need for teamwork, collaboration, and accessibility in leadership.
“Together, we can achieve great things for Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA. Your doors must remain open to the people, and you must listen to their concerns,” he added.
In his remarks, the SLG, Hon. Ahmad Adeyinka Yusuff, reminded the appointees that the confidence reposed in them comes with significant responsibility.
He urged them to align with the vision of the administration and support the All Progressives Congress (APC) in delivering the dividends of democracy to the grassroots.
In their response, the newly sworn-in officials pledged to discharge their duties with diligence, integrity, transparency, and accountability.
They reaffirmed their commitment to advancing the development of the LCDA and improving the welfare of its residents.
Also speaking, the party chairman, Hon. Wole Aina, commended the council chairman’s leadership and expressed confidence in the administration’s capacity to fulfill its promises to the people.
