The Peoples Democratic Party in Bayelsa State has again accused the APC led administration of not backing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s second term bid, repeating claims by state chairman George Alabh Turnah.
Responding to APC calls to disregard those claims, the party said Bayelsans who are victims of poverty, hunger and underdevelopment would not remain indifferent in the 2027 election.

In a statement, publicity secretary Hon Ikaebimo Mark urged the APC national leadership to examine the relationship between Diri and former PDP officials in the Kabiru Tanimu Turaki group, and to probe stipends paid to them.
The party claimed those officials are allied with the Allied Peoples Movement and are mobilising for Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde’s presidential ambition. It called the Diri led administration a failure and demanded verifiable answers on spending.
Meanwhile, APC State Chairman Hon Warmam Weri Ogoriba urged Bayelsans to disregard the claims, saying it is laughable to suggest Diri is not backing Tinubu, since his words and actions prove he leads the campaign.
