Adesile returns as  brand ambassador

Adrenaline is pumping in key members of the Africa Fashion Week London 2026 Planning Committee and the privileged designers invited to feature in the globally recognised fashion extravaganza that showcases Africa’s best in couture creativity gains firm up their preparations for the annual event.

The annual event held in London has always attracted an elite assemblage of fashion aficionados, creative and innovative couture designers, fashion critics and fashionistas.

This year’s event promises to be more exciting with Princess Adesile ably and elegantly serving as the Official Ambassador.

Princess Adesile, a modern Yoruba royal from Nigeria and accomplished equestrian, embodies a new generation of African cultural ambassadors who honour tradition and embrace innovation, creativity and contemporary leadership.

While her royal heritage is deeply rooted in Yoruba culture, her influence extends far beyond it. Princess Adesile has become widely recognised for her passion for equestrianism and her striking appearances at the renowned Ojude Oba Festival, where she has helped bring the centuries-old tradition of ceremonial horseback riding to the attention of a new global audience and inspired a greater visibility for female riders.

Her attendance at AFL 2025 last year put her in the middle of a powerful intersection of fashion, heritage and African culture. Highlighting the key role she will play as Brand Ambassador, the AFWL 2026 Planning Committee noted in a statement: “Now returning to our catwalk, in regalia or the latest designer collections, she’ll portray the idea that African fashion is more than just clothing; it is history, identity and storytelling brought to life.”
