Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) women’s volleyball team bounced back from their Round of 16 disappointment with an emphatic straight-sets victory over Burundi’s GLC in the 9–16 classification round of the African Women Club Volleyball Championship, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Nigerian side dominated proceedings, sealing the contest 3-0 with scores of 25-14, 27-25, 25-14.

Customs showed clear intent from the start, overwhelming their Burundian opponents in the opening set with a commanding 25-14 win.

GLC, however, responded with renewed resistance in the second set, pushing the Nigerians to the limit in a closely contested battle.

The second set proved decisive as NCS held their composure at crucial moments to edge it 27-25, effectively extinguishing GLC’s hopes of a comeback.

With momentum firmly on their side, the Nigerian team returned to dominance in the third set, replicating their first-set performance with another 25-14 victory to complete a comfortable clean sweep.

The win ensures Nigeria Customs Service remain in contention for a respectable finish in the tournament despite their earlier exit from the knockout stage.
