The pan Yoruba sociocultural organization, Afenifere has formed an intelligentsia group to chat the ways forward for the socioeconomic and political development of Yoruba land.
The National Organizing Secretary of Afenifere, Chief Kole Omololu disclosed this in a statement made available to newsmen in Akure, the Ondo State capital on Sunday.
According to Omololu, the group is made up of accomplished professionals and intellectuals in the south west region.

This, he said was part of the submission reached at the just concluded South West Summit organized by Afenifere which was held in Akure.
Omololu hinted that the group has a task to work on the South West Development Plan 2050.
“This development plan will be broken down into short-term goals (2026-2030), medium-term goals (2031-2040), and long-term goals (2041–2050).
“This elite group will work through and utilize established platforms to actualize its goals, including the South West Governors’ Forum, the South West Development Commission (SWDC), The Development Agenda for Western Nigeria (DAWN) and the Oodua Group and other relevant organisations in Yoruba land,” he added.
