The Malagasy Football Federation will unveil the list of players called up for Madagascar’s upcoming 2027 Africa Cup of Nations 2027 qualifying fixtures on Thursday, September 17, 2026.
The squad announcement is scheduled for 12:00pm as the Barea prepare for two crucial qualifiers against Nigeria’s Super Eagles and Tanzania’s Taifa Stars.
Madagascar will face Nigeria on September 25 at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo before taking on Tanzania four days later.
The second fixture will be played on September 29 at the Stade d’Honneur de Meknès in Morocco.
Madagascar manager Corentin Martins is expected to name a strong squad for the Afcon qualifiers.
Super Eagles coach Eric Chelle has yet to unveil his squad, but the Malian is already facing a number of fitness concerns ahead of this month’s international fixtures.
Midfielders Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, Frank Onyeka and Tochukwu Nnadi, along with right-back Ryan Alebiosu and winger Femi Azeez, are all doubts.
Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen and Porto left-back Zaidu Sanusi look set to miss out after suffering injuries.
