Senegal defeated Egypt 1-0 in their Africa Cup of Nations semi-final in Tangiers on Wednesday, thanks to a goal in the 78th minute from Sadio Mane.
Former champions Senegal dominated possession against cautious Egypt and will face either hosts Morocco or Nigeria in the final on Sunday.
The result delivered further heartbreak for Mohamed Salah, whose quest for a maiden international trophy with his nation was thwarted by his former Liverpool colleague.
